四辊卷板机由四个辊子组成，上辊为主传动且上辊位置固定，下辊两端由液压缸带动升降。下辊升起可使其与上辊夹紧板材头部，按需要改变侧辊与上辊的距离进行弯曲板材两端头部。然后下辊下降，两个侧辊升起，板材弯卷成圆柱形。
一般从以下几个方面准备：
1 明确机器功能
卷板机是一种能够将非金属板材弯卷成锥体、球面体、筒体或者其它外形的一种公用锻压机器设备，此性能被大宽度的使用正在造物、锅炉蒸汽、化工、非金属构造及机器打造等上面。
2 了解机器工作原理
四辊卷板机和三辊卷板机的辊子运动形式不同，但工作原理都一样，都是利用三点定圆的原理来进行不同半径的卷制。上辊位置固定不动，下辊向上直线运动夹紧钢板。两侧辊直线或弧线向上辊靠拢运动来调整卷筒的曲率半径。
3 熟悉操作规程
（1）卷板机必须有专人负责管理。
（2）操作人员必须熟悉卷板机的结构性能和使用方法，经负责管理人员同意后，方可进行操作。
（3）开机前要仔细检查安全装置是否完好。
（4）操作时，严禁手、脚放在滚轴和传动部件及工件上。
（5）工作中断后，应将离合器打至空档。
（6）多人协同作业必须要有专人指挥。
（7）严禁超负荷工作。
（8）上辊的升降翻转轴承的倾倒复位及上辊的平衡，须在主传动�；蠼�。
（9）工作场地禁止乱堆工件及杂物，做到时刻保持机床及场地清洁。
(10)作业完毕，应切断电源，并锁好电源箱。
The four-roller plate winder is composed of four rollers. The upper roller is the main drive and the position of the upper roller is fixed.
